Hi what is this and why am I here?
Just Five Things is a continuation of a writing practice I’ve done since I was a moody little editor at Thought Catalog where I just stream of consciousness wrote out five things that were on my mind. I’ve done it for a long time, see? A ‘five things’ is also literally the last thing I wrote there that wasn’t an ad before leaving in 2021. Anyhoo, I’m trying to dust off the extremely murky shelves of my writing habit by getting back into it. Mostly solely for myself. Which is what this is.
Over the last year or so it has also become a space where I talk more lengthily about things that are on my mind, or where I work out things I’m also working out in therapy. Idk! It’s kind of a mixed bag. But I enjoy it and I hope you do too.
Subscribing means I can annoy you without the self-promo and you get full access to the newsletter and website. If you pay me (which you do not have to) you get access to things that feel personal, or where I name people 👀 or where I put out things that I may not otherwise want so readily accessible.
